dust bowl.........................

spent a nice evening last night at Roy's with Dusty for his birthday........

 no birthday of his is complete without a Thor comic........

Dusty and Phil listening intently to Joaquim............

got to catch up with Judy and THE Ferb from Phineas and Ferb and just have some good food and conversation.....

had withdrawal symptoms later that night from not having a book to read before bed....I had finished The Mockingjay before we left that evening. Gotta start researching something new to read.......

maybe they're parakeets...I'm not sure...but there are so many of them, the noise they make is deafening....

this reminds me to go finish The Mockingjay tonight!!! Had a fun day shopping with my Mom while Phil was speaking at LMU, a Q &A for their animation students.  Then we hung out with my parents for a bit and had tea..........finally gonna sleep in tomorrow....

it perfectly lights the pathway now....and the dog run gates are almost done too.....

they are finishing up today then coming back in a couple of weeks to start on the front yard!

woke up at the crack of dawn today to let the cement truck guys in....I'm sure the neighbors must have loved that.....my Mom came to supervise..........

the cement is all poured and smooth! It will be ready to walk on tomorrow......

can't wait to see the lights on and start on the landscaping!  After I got home from work, my Mom and I had dinner at The Americana and did some shopping, mostly tees for Phil.

Off to read The Mockingjay! Gotta be at 30% by tomorrow so my Bro and I can talk about it.....

yesterday we went on a hike with Joaquim and Sharon, had a quick lunch, went to Ikea.........later in the evening, Phil and I took a long walk into NoHo...we ended up at the Academy courtyard and spent some time looking at all the bronze sculptures we never noticed before.......

the cutest humidifer ever....a chartreuse teardrop that has been saving my life during the coughing...

and the Lark wristband vibrating alarm clock!  Now I don't wake Phil with my early alarm and it also tracks my sleep patterns.....I was worried that the vibration wouldn't be strong enough..I've been known to sleep through an earthquake or two, but it works really well, and has an audio backup just in case...

gotta read more so my Bro and I can talk about Catching Fire on Wednesday........
