la semana de la moda........................
NY is always pretty jam packed - with the show itself and then dinners every night, it goes by pretty quickly...
we stayed at the Gansevoort and had an awesome view of the Hudson...
breakfast at Pastis, dinners at Spice Market and The Americano..........
a fun dinner with my best friend Juan (aka Gabriel), met his new clients, ran into more people, and before you know it, there are 7 of us sitting at a table having 12 different conversations...........
met up with Paul a couple of times too....he came to visit me at the show and then we had dinner on my last night there.....he's only lived there a month and already has a ton of funny stories- I'm pushing him to do a comic strip for each one......I think he'd have an awesome little book in a year.....
the weather was actually fairly mild for this time of year...or so I'm told...still pretty chilly for me.
Off to walk to the comic shop with Phil!

back from NY.....it was fun but I'm so glad to be back in the warm sunshine! Our kitchen hardware came in while I was away, so yesterday Phil and I went to pick it up from Liz's, then had an early brunch at Joan's on Third....
spent the rest of the day leisurley unpacking and cleaning up around the house, puttering around the garden (I missed my green space!) watched J. Edgar, and slept early!

say goodnight Ace..............
Finally this crazy week is over! Phil and I had a nice break last night though and went to the screening of Justice League: DOOM. I thought the movie was great and the fans seemed to really enjoy it. Phil designed it over a year ago - it was awesome to see the characters coming to life! Especially Green Lantern with Nathan Fillions voice! There was a Q and A panel after the movie....
Tim Daly as Superman, Susan Eisenberg as Wonderwoman, Olivia D'Abo as Star Sapphire, Andrea Romano Voice Director,Lauren Montgomery the producer and director, and my favorite, Phil Morris, Martian Manhunter on Smallville, but the voice of Vandal Savage in this movie. Personally, I was more interested in the art and artists as opposed to the voice actors. It seems the audience was too since almost all questions were directed at Lauren. Maybe I would have felt differently if Nathan Fillion had been there.
Afterwards, we grabbed a late dinner with Lauren and Mel at Kate Mantilini around the corner...
it was a fun night! Too bad we didn't see Nathan Fillion at the restaurant.........

a super crazy week is finally coming to a close....just gotta get through a couple of more days then I can finally sleep....on the plane.
Tonight, Phil and I are going to the the premiere of Justice league: DOOM at the Paley Center. He designed it about a year ago and it's directed by the awesome Lauren Montgomery. I'm excited to see it!
